Lodge Farm Grain Store and Handling Plant

Project background:

In a mission to modernise a large farming estate in Hitchin, we were tasked to design and build a centralised grain store and handling plant with a capacity of 10,000 tonnes, handling speed of 120t/hour and drying speed of 60t/hour. For planning reasons, the barns were built into the landscape involving 20,000m3 of earthmoving and levelling to form the base.
