“A T Bone was recommended to me by a friend who has known them for a long time, and also used them for work at their own farm/ dressage yard. Equestrian building work can be a daunting prospect, as one often hears stories of unreliable contractors and particularly of dangerous area builds. So I was keen to use somebody on direct recommendation and with a huge amount of experience with groundwork and drainage too. We also wanted a team who understood the quality of the functionality and finish that we required . During my initial meeting A T Bone demonstrated that they understood exactly what we wanted. They brought new ideas to the table, showing us examples of work that has been done at other sites to inspire and reassure. They were realistic about costs and timescales, so there were no disappointments and helped us navigate all the options. The team were fantastic from beginning to end and I would without doubt use them again. The work all took place at my home over the winter. There was minimal disruption for such a large job and the team were always polite, helpful and organised. A T Bone also worked seamlessly with other contractors. The project ran to both time and budget and I couldn’t be happier with the end result. There was not a single aspect of the project that was not completed unsatisfactorily. Two years on and we are still delighted  with the work that was done. We would highly recommend A T Bone, and we would absolutely use them ourselves for any future works required.”

PROJECT BACKGROUND

A T Bone & Sons Ltd were contracted for a comprehensive renovation project at a private stable yard, transforming an old concrete building into a modern, functional facility. The renovation involved a complete overhaul of the existing structure, including re-roofing and re-cladding the exterior to enhance both durability and appearance. We also installed a new concrete floor with integrated drainage, ensuring proper water management and ease of maintenance. Additionally, the project included the creation of a dedicated tack room for secure storage of equestrian equipment, as well as a wash bay designed for the care and grooming of horses.

The project also included the installation of a 60m x 20m outdoor ménage, designed to provide an optimal training surface for horses in all weather conditions. We also undertook extensive landscaping works to enhance the surrounding areas, along with the construction for two outdoor weather pens to offer additional space for horses in the wetter weather. As part of the project, we installed a new track leading to the ménage, ensuring easy access and improved durability. To complete the transformation, we planted Leylandii hedges around the perimeter, providing natural windbreaks and enhancing the privacy of the stable yard. This project showcases our commitment to delivering high-quality equestrian facilities tailored to the specific needs of our clients.
