Grange Farm Car Park Extension Works
Project background:
As an ever growing sports facility Grange Farm embarked on a project to improve their infrastructure to accommodate the increase in popularity. The main part of the works involved two new carparks; one was a small grass-create area at the lower end of the site and the 2nd was a large plastic cell pave system utilising ’dead space’ along side the main football pitch. As this area was on a slope intricate shaping of the sub-base was required to install the bodpave units securely. Sleeper wall edgings were installed to retain the sloping ground around the carpark and post and rail fencing with hedgerows were installed .
Along with the carpark ATB installed a new bio-ficient sewage treatment plant, again as an improvement to the infrastructure of the complex.
Key Works:
- Carpark expansion—Design and build using a cell paving system with gravel backfill approx. 900m2
- Installation of a new bigger klargester to facilitate the ever expanding site buildings.
- Gabion and treated sleeper retaining walls
- Extension of grasscreate carpark 550m2
