Chigwell School
Project background:
In the summer of 2020 ATB were instructed to carry out the construction and installation of a new full size 3G at Chigwell school in Essex. The specification required a system that met FIFA 1 and 2 star standards. ATB carried design and build responsibilities for the project. The system included sports fencing, floodlighting, spectator area and a 40mm Domo carpet and shock pad.
The site required a minor cut and fill earthworks exercise and extensive drainage with attenuation. Due to the location preliminary works were required to install protection over gas mains for the duration of the installation.
As well as the 3G ATB undertook the construction of 1300m2 of associated tarmac access pathways with lighting bollards. All electrics were installed and commissioned by ATB
