Head of Commercial Property

Martin joined ATB in November 2024 as Head of Commercial Property with overall responsibility for acquisitions, disposals, lettings, and planning.
After securing his BSc (Hons) Degree in Land Management from South Bank University, Martin joined Prudential Portfolio Managers as a Graduate and secured his RICS qualification in 1991. Having worked in the Investment, Development, Management and Lease Advisory teams across all the UK Regions, Martin rose through the ranks to become a Senior Investment Director managing a team of 15 Surveyors. After 16 years in this organisation, Martin embarked on a new challenge as a Development Manager for a small privately owned property business specialising in Industrial and logistics development across the UK.
Martin then joined Colliers International, a Real Estate Advisory business, providing Real Estate advice to a range of private and corporate clients. He was then head hunted into Deloitte Real Estate and then Gerald Eve LLP as a Partner until his recruitment into Mapeley Estates as their Head of Investment. In this role he was overseeing their Property Management, Asset Management and Development teams to maximise property values, mitigate liabilities and manage the liquidation of a £500m mixed commercial property portfolio, including the appointment and management of all key advisors and stakeholders.
Martin brings over 30 years of experience in estate management and commercial and residential development which, coupled with his asset management and transactional experience, means he offers a wealth of knowledge and understanding to the ATB property business. His role is to add value and expand the commercial property portfolio whilst mitigating costs and liabilities, bringing a structured approach to the day-to-day management of the portfolio and a corporate mindset and skillset to portfolio analysis, modelling and reporting.
