Finance Administrator

We are looking for a full-time finance administrator based near Hertford to assist our financial controller with day-to-day financial admin tasks, you must be a self-starter with problem solving skills and be able to turn your hand to anything that is thrown at you.  Ideally you will have had some experience using Xero or similar accounts packages.

Responsibilities:

Your duties include but are not limited to:

  • Entering and uploading sales and purchase invoices into Xero
  • Maintain accurate and up to date customer and supplier information on Xero
  • Raise PO’s, cross reference, and code invoices with the relevant purchase orders
  • Credit control including chasing late payments
  • General administration and ad hoc finance project
  • Take in coming telephone enquiries
  • Cover the reception and phones when the Office Administrator is on lunch and annual leave or during busy periods.

Requirements:

The ideal person will have:

  • Some financial experience or be a recent finance graduate
  • Be a problem solver
  • Good communication skills
  • Have excellent MS office skills particularly Word and Excel
  • Experience using an accounts package such as Xero
  • Have your own car and be able to commute to a rural area in Hertford
